On reading the KT online news story, ‘Muslims in Europe face discrimination’ I feel it is not a new phenomena. This has been going on since decades. I feel that the Muslims should learn to live with it and try their best to change the negative perceptions about them.

I feel that the Chief Justice of Pakistan rightly deserves to be included in the Times magazine’s list of 100 most influential people. This is with reference to the letter titled, ‘Parking Problem’ (April 24). I totally agree that Mawaqif has not done any justice to the parking problems of the residents in that specific area between Dana Hotel and India Palace sector.
With reference to news story, ‘Tower burnt down due to cigarette butt’ (KT/ April 24), all smokers should get a big fine for smoking in balconies, on the road in the car and on the streets.
After the introduction of Mawaquif in TCA, the parking woes of residents have doubled. Though we have paid for resident permit fees but despite shelling out this money we cannot find parking anywhere near our residence!
Overloading vehicles with passengers and luggage is illegal and has been recognised as a safety concern.
